Forget “Sex and the City”, the cosmos and the Blahniks. Long before our Carrie fever, NYC was still a fabulous destination to visit. Who can resist shopping in Soho, walking through Central Park or dining in Tribeca?

Ok, so the winters and summers may be a little brutal weather wise but New York City tops our list of 1,000 fabulous things. The public transportation makes getting from Uptown to downtown easy as can be. And the view from the Top of the Rock (Rockefeller Center) will show you another side of the concrete jungle that will take your breath away. But perhaps the most fabulous (and fun) thing to do in New York City is walk the Brooklyn Bridge.

Next time you hit the Big Apple, be sure to head on over to Brooklyn via subway (the entrance is not to far from DUMBO), find the entrance at Tillary Street and Boerum Place then take off and enjoy the view along the way. Since this is in fact a great activity for tourists, watch out for the groups of people taking pictures. Although harmless, they often aren’t aware of the bike lanes established for our friends traveling on wheels. Be sure to enjoy the views of the financial district, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty and Midtown Manhattan.

While surfing the internet in hopes of coming across a fun and interesting blog to read for the day, I came across this adorable, funny, and clever one!  The Rules of Being a Gentleman, which you can go to by clicking here http://therulesofagentleman.tumblr.com/.  I spent a good hour reading through the funny, creative, sweet, and true "rules" that we ladies would love to find in our ideal gentleman!  What are some important rules that you feel a gentleman might have?  I know one of mine is definitely getting your woman pampered, and what better way to do that than to send them off to Pamper Me Fabulous?

Who else is loving this change in weather and the recent storm we just had?  Sometimes nothing is as refreshing as Mother Nature herself and a long day of rain is just what we need to clean and freshen up our lives (both literally and figuratively!).  What better way to spend the day indoors listening to the pitter patter of rain and snuggling in bed with a hot cup of tea, a good book, and some time to ourselves to reflect and relax.

I know I am definitely look forward to more rainy days this fall and winter!
